Blockchain investigator ZachXBT has alleged that US based individual Dritan Kapllani Jr. is connected to a crypto theft network responsible for more than $19 million in losses through social engineering attacks targeting cryptocurrency holders.
In a series of posts on X, ZachXBT claimed that Dritan frequently displayed luxury cars, expensive watches, private jets, and nightlife spending across social media while also interacting with other suspected threat actors online.
Alleged Crypto Laundering and Wallet Exposure
The investigation centers on a Discord “band 4 band” call dated April 23, 2026, during which Dritan allegedly showed an Exodus wallet containing about $3.68 million in crypto while attempting to demonstrate higher wealth than another participant.
ZachXBT identified the Ethereum wallet displayed in the session and linked it to a major Bitcoin theft that occurred on March 14, 2026. That incident involved the loss of 185 BTC, valued at approximately $13 million at the time, reportedly stolen through social engineering methods.
According to the findings, the wallet in question allegedly received around $5.3 million shortly after the theft on March 15. By the time of the Discord interaction several weeks later, roughly $1.6 million of those funds had already been spent or moved through laundering channels.
These allegations emerged shortly after US authorities unsealed a criminal complaint against Trenton Johnson, who is accused of involvement in the same 185 BTC theft operation.
ZachXBT further alleged that Dritan is referenced in the complaint as “Co Conspirator 1,” although he has not been formally charged.
The investigator also pointed to the involvement of meme coin influencer “yelotree,” who was reportedly charged for assisting in laundering stolen funds through a Miami based rental car business. If convicted, the individual could face up to 30 years in prison.
Connection to Earlier $46 Million Case
ZachXBT also linked Dritan to a separate investigation from January 2026 involving John Daghita, who was accused of stealing $46 million from the US government.
According to the report, one of Dritan’s previously used wallet addresses appeared in a deleted Telegram post shared by Daghita. ZachXBT claimed that the same wallet was also tied to at least five additional social engineering thefts in 2025, totaling more than $5.85 million in stolen funds.
The investigator said he delayed publishing his findings until legal charges related to the 185 BTC theft were officially filed.
