Together, they plan to explore practical applications for a Swiss franc based digital currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will involve a secure live testing environment, often referred to as a sandbox, where the banks will experiment with how blockchain applications can interact with the Swiss franc in real world scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, UBS explained that the initiative is intended to evaluate possible use cases for a CHF stablecoin within Switzerland.
