They accused certain media outlets, referred to as “reptile media,” along with unnamed organizations, of spreading misleading information that portrays North Korea as responsible for cybercrime worldwide while presenting the US as a victim.

According to the statement, this portrayal is misleading and ignores what the DPRK describes as the United States’ own advanced cyber capabilities and alleged activities in cyberspace. The spokesperson argued that the ongoing accusations are part of a broader effort by successive US administrations to damage North Korea’s reputation and justify continued political pressure.

The government also emphasized its stance on cybersecurity, stating that it supports the protection of cyberspace as a shared global resource and opposes any attempt to use cyber issues as a tool for political interference or violations of national sovereignty.

In addition, the statement warned that North Korea would respond to what it views as escalating hostility, including actions in the cyber domain, and would take steps to defend its national interests and the rights of its citizens.

Despite these denials, data from TRM Labs suggests that groups associated with North Korea accounted for a significant share of crypto related losses in 2026 so far, reportedly responsible for about 76 percent of total damages through April. This trend reflects a sharp rise from previous years, including a major surge in 2025 linked to the record breaking Bybit breach.

Recent incidents involving platforms such as KelpDAO and Drift Protocol have also contributed heavily to this year’s losses. Analysts note that while the number of attacks has not significantly increased, the scale of individual incidents has grown, with a focus on fewer but more valuable targets. Experts also point to the possible use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, in planning and executing these operations.#crypto#cryptonews https://coinsignals.net https://t.me/coinsignalpublic

North Korea, officially known as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, has dismissed accusations linking it to global cyber theft, describing them as baseless and politically...

[1

post-2870","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
