The move is designed to position the bank competitively by offering lower transaction fees.

Lower Fees to Compete With Rivals

The firm plans to charge about 50 basis points per transaction based on trade value, aiming to undercut competitors such as Coinbase and Robinhood. This pricing is also below the 75 basis points charged by Charles Schwab, which recently introduced spot Bitcoin and Ethereum trading.

The service is currently in a testing phase and is expected to roll out to all 8.6 million E Trade users later this year. At launch, customers will be able to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The company is working with a digital asset infrastructure provider to support the platform.

This development follows the recent launch of Morgan Stanley’s spot Bitcoin ETF under the ticker MSBT on NYSE Arca. The fund debuted with a 0.14 percent fee, making it one of the more competitively priced offerings, and has already attracted over 181 million dollars in net inflows as of early May.

Launch of Stablecoin Reserve Fund

Morgan Stanley has also introduced a Stablecoin Reserves Portfolio aimed at issuers seeking compliant reserve management solutions. The fund operates within its Institutional Liquidity Funds Trust and is structured as a government money market fund aligned with regulatory standards.

Its goal is to maintain a stable net asset value of one dollar while generating returns through investments in cash, United States Treasury securities, and short term repurchase agreements.

Company executives said the offering reflects growing demand as stablecoin usage expands. They added that the initiative supports efforts to modernize financial systems and broaden institutional access to digital assets.#crypto#cryptonews https://coinsignals.net https://t.me/coinsignalpublic

Morgan Stanley is preparing to launch cryptocurrency trading on its E Trade platform, which it acquired for 13 billion dollars six years ago.
