Cardano\u2019s native token ADA may still be trading far below its previous highs, but large investors continue to increase their holdings aggressively. According to the latest data from Santiment, wallets holding at least one million ADA now control more than 25 billion tokens for the first time in the network\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At its current price of around $0.26, ADA remains heavily down from earlier market peaks. However, major holders appear to view the lower prices as a buying opportunity rather than a warning sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whales Increase ADA Holdings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crypto analytics firm Santiment revealed that wallets containing one million ADA or more have steadily expanded their positions over recent months. These whale and shark wallets now collectively hold approximately 25.09 billion ADA, representing nearly 67.5% of the circulating supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This accumulation trend has continued even after Cardano\u2019s market capitalization dropped more than 70% during the last nine months. Santiment noted that large investors seem to be taking advantage of the prolonged market weakness to build bigger positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez recently highlighted the importance of the $0.25 support level for ADA. According to his analysis, Cardano previously staged major recoveries after successfully holding above that price zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January 2023, ADA maintained support near $0.25 before rallying more than 88% in the weeks that followed. A similar scenario occurred in September 2023, when the asset again defended the same support area and later surged by approximately 243%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With ADA currently trading slightly above $0.26, the $0.25 range remains a critical level for the asset\u2019s market structure. Martinez believes that continued stability above this support could pave the way for a move toward $0.36, while stronger bullish momentum may eventually push the token toward $0.53.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, he also warned that a breakdown below the support zone could trigger a steeper correction for the cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardano Scaling Debate Continues<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond price action, Cardano remains under scrutiny regarding the pace of its network development and scaling progress. Critics have argued that the project has shifted too much attention toward governance while neglecting scalability improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently addressed those concerns and rejected claims that scaling efforts had been abandoned in favor of governance initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoskinson explained that Cardano\u2019s scaling research has been underway since before the Shelley era and includes years of work focused on Layer 2 technologies, the extended UTXO model, zero knowledge systems, partnerchains, and the Leios protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that many of these innovations require extensive scientific research, academic publications, and long term engineering development, making rapid deployment unrealistic even with larger development teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
