However, that momentum may soon face renewed pressure as geopolitical tensions involving Iran and the United States intensify once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fresh concerns emerged after Donald Trump warned Iran of possible new military strikes in a post on his Truth Social platform, just as high level talks between both countries were set to begin in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump stated that Iran must immediately stop its allied groups in Lebanon from escalating tensions. He warned that failure to do so could trigger another round of strikes, potentially more severe than previous actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest threat has cast doubt over the peace agreement Trump announced last Sunday. At the time, he claimed both sides had reached a deal that was expected to be finalized by June 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That deadline has now passed without any official agreement being signed. Tensions rose further after Iran reportedly closed the Strait of Hormuz again, citing what it described as a violation of the agreement by the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only encouraging development had been a ceasefire announcement between Israel and Lebanon. However, even that now appears uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports from ongoing diplomatic talks in Switzerland indicate that JD Vance and senior officials from the Trump administration are currently engaged in a rare direct meeting with Iranian representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to media reports, negotiators also added an emergency session focused on the escalating conflict in Lebanon. This followed fresh Israeli airstrikes on Saturday that reportedly killed more than a dozen people, only hours after the ceasefire had officially taken effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, hopes for a lasting peace agreement remain fragile. Compared to last Sunday, when optimism was high following Trump\u2019s announcement, the outlook now appears significantly more uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bitcoin\u2019s price has mirrored these developments. Following news of the proposed peace agreement, BTC surged from $64,000 to above $67,000.
