Altcoins Hold Firm as Bitcoin Defends the $64K Support Level

Despite renewed geopolitical tension surrounding the United States and Iran, the crypto market has remained relatively stable, with most major digital assets showing limited price movement.

Bitcoin saw some volatility on Sunday evening following the unsuccessful peace talks in Switzerland. The leading cryptocurrency briefly dropped to around $63,300 before recovering and climbing as high as $64,800, where it faced resistance.

Most large cap altcoins also remained steady, with Ethereum holding near $1,750 and Solana moving closer to $75.

Bitcoin Holds Above $64K

A week ago, market sentiment turned sharply positive after Donald Trump announced that the United States and Iran had reached a deal expected to be finalized by June 19.

That announcement triggered a strong rally in Bitcoin, sending the asset from below $64,000 to above $67,000 within 24 hours.

However, the momentum faded quickly. Bitcoin failed to sustain those gains and returned toward its starting range ahead of the latest Federal Reserve policy meeting.

Before and after the Fed announced that interest rates would remain unchanged, Bitcoin briefly climbed to $66,400. It then fell sharply by nearly $4,000, pressured by the central bank’s continued hawkish tone.

Buyers eventually stepped in to stabilize the market.

Over the weekend, Bitcoin traded mostly within the $63,000 to $64,000 range, with only brief swings toward $63,200 and $64,800. These moves followed renewed threats from Trump toward Iran and the outcome of diplomatic talks in Switzerland.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin has returned to the $64,000 level.

Its market capitalization stands at approximately $1.285 trillion, while its dominance over the altcoin market remains at 56.2%.

Altcoins Show Limited Movement

Most major altcoins have posted minimal price changes over the past 24 hours.

Ethereum is slightly higher and remains close to $1,750.

BNB continues to trade near $600 after a modest gain.

XRP remains below $1.15, while Solana has edged higher by about 1.2%, approaching $75.

Not all altcoins are stable. HYPE is down around 2% on the day, while ZEC and CC have declined by roughly 3%.

On the positive side, Worldcoin is among the strongest performers, rising 6.5% and trading near $0.65.

Other notable gainers include WVV, which is up 8%, ADI with a 3.2% increase, and M with a 3% daily gain.

Overall, the total crypto market capitalization remains largely unchanged from yesterday at approximately $2.29 trillion, reflecting a market that is currently holding steady despite macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty.#crypto#cryptonews https://coinsignals.net https://t.me/coinsignalpublic
