Selling pressure around XRP continues to intensify as a major on-chain metric has fallen to its lowest level in nearly four years, signaling growing market stress and increased loss-driven selling.
According to Glassnode, XRP holders are now realizing significantly more losses than profits. In its June 25 update, the firm reported that the 90 day simple moving average of XRP’s Realized Profit-to-Loss Ratio dropped to 0.33, down from 0.38 on June 9.
This metric tracks realized profits against realized losses from coins moved on-chain and serves as a measure of overall market profitability. A reading above 1 means profits exceed losses, while a reading below 1 shows losses are dominating.
At the current level, the data suggests that XRP investors are realizing just 33 cents in profit for every one dollar in losses, highlighting growing pressure among market participants.
Glassnode noted that this ratio peaked at around 50 during XRP’s 2025 market rally, a period when profit-taking heavily outweighed loss-driven selling. Since then, the sharp decline reflects a major shift in sentiment, with more holders now exiting positions at a loss.
The data points to increasing capitulation in the XRP market, suggesting that selling pressure has become more severe in recent weeks as investor confidence weakens.
Network activity has also slowed considerably. Separate data shared by Glassnode on June 9 showed a sharp decline in activity on the XRP Ledger. The 90 day average of total transaction fees dropped from 5,900 XRP in February 2025 to roughly 500 XRP, marking a decline of about 91.5 percent.
Together, these trends suggest weakening network usage is occurring alongside deteriorating investor profitability. XRP’s realized profit-to-loss ratio surged during the 2025 rally but has steadily declined through late 2025 and into 2026. Transaction fees have followed a similar downward trend since the speculative peak, reinforcing signs of reduced market activity and weaker momentum.#crypto#cryptonews https://coinsignals.net https://t.me/coinsignalpublic
