Ripple Roundup: Key XRP Developments and Price Outlook for August 4

Ripple had another eventful week, expanding its institutional digital asset ecosystem while XRP continued to hold above the crucial $1 support level despite broader market weakness.

Here are the biggest Ripple and XRP developments from the past several days.

Ripple Expands Institutional Strategy With New Investments

One of the week’s most significant announcements was Ripple’s investment in ZILO and Licuido, two companies focused on institutional digital asset infrastructure. The company did not disclose the financial details of either investment.

ZILO develops transfer agency and fund administration technology for tokenized investment funds, supporting Ripple’s broader vision of becoming a leading global settlement platform for both institutional and retail markets.

Licuido, a United Kingdom regulated company, provides infrastructure for issuing, distributing, trading, and using traditional financial assets as digital collateral.

Ripple plans to integrate both platforms with the XRP Ledger, enabling institutions to issue tokenized assets, transfer ownership, provide custody services, and use those assets as collateral. The company’s RLUSD stablecoin is expected to facilitate instant settlement within this ecosystem.

Mastercard Finalizes BVNK Acquisition

Mastercard has completed its acquisition of stablecoin infrastructure provider BVNK, a company that has supported XRP deposits and outgoing payments through its multichain platform since partnering with Ripple in 2024.

Both Ripple and BVNK are members of Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program and have contributed to the company’s multi token network initiative.

Mastercard said the acquisition strengthens its efforts to bridge traditional finance with digital assets.

FXRP Approved as Collateral for RLUSD Lending

Another notable development came from the Flare ecosystem, where wrapped XRP (FXRP) was approved for use as collateral in a $280 million RLUSD lending vault managed by Sentora.

The lending market operates on Morpho Blue, allowing users to deposit FXRP and borrow RLUSD while maintaining exposure to XRP.

At the time of the announcement, approximately 155 million FXRP had been minted. However, accessing the lending platform requires several steps, including minting FXRP on Flare, bridging the assets to Ethereum, depositing them into Morpho, and then borrowing RLUSD.

XRP ETF Inflows Remain Positive Despite Slowing Demand

Spot XRP exchange traded funds continued attracting new capital during July, recording approximately $27 million in net inflows.

Although the funds maintained positive momentum, investor demand slowed compared with previous months. Net inflows reached roughly $60 million in June and $132 million in May.

While the lower figures suggest institutional enthusiasm has cooled somewhat, the continued inflows indicate that investors are still increasing their exposure to XRP.

XRP Holds Key Support as Analysts Watch for Breakout

XRP was trading near $1.07 after successfully defending the important support zone between $1.05 and $1.06.

The token remains below its 20 day exponential moving average near $1.08 and its 50 day moving average around $1.12, leaving short term momentum under pressure.

Despite this, analyst ChartNerd believes XRP is forming a falling wedge pattern near a six year support level, a setup that has historically preceded major rallies. He suggested the coming months could mark the beginning of a significant market repricing, although he cautioned that a temporary move below the $1 level remains possible.

A sustained break above the $1.08 and $1.12 resistance levels would strengthen XRP’s technical outlook and improve the chances of a broader recovery.#crypto#cryptonews https://coinsignals.net https://t.me/coinsignalpublic
