Base Overtakes Solana in Curated Capital as Layer 2 Adoption Grows

Coinbase’s Base network has surpassed Solana in curated capital, becoming the largest layer 2 blockchain by assets held in professionally managed DeFi vaults.

According to Sentora, Base now holds more than $1.6 billion in curated capital, accounting for 22.5 percent of the market. Ethereum continues to dominate the sector with nearly $3.5 billion, representing 48.2 percent of the total market share.

Solana trails well behind with less than $550 million in curated assets, while Binance Smart Chain ranks close by. Other networks in the top 10 include Plasma with $144 million and Monad with $119 million.

Curated capital refers to funds deposited into decentralized finance vaults that are actively managed by specialized risk managers using predefined investment guidelines and risk frameworks. This model is designed to provide greater transparency, structured oversight, and stronger risk management than traditional pooled lending, particularly for stablecoin yield strategies.#crypto#cryptonews https://coinsignals.net https://t.me/coinsignalpublic
